Autism: ...means a developmental disability significantly affecting verbal and nonverbal communication and social interaction, generally evident before
age three, that adversely affects a child’s educational performance

Deaf-Blindness: is where a student is both deaf and blind at the same time affecting their emotional well-being and learning ability
Deafness: a child's hearing is so impaired that it affects their ability to speak and affects their educational performance.
Emotional Disturbance: includes an unexplained inability to learn, the inability to build relationships, inappropriate behavior, depression, and fears, etc.
Hearing Impairment: that is not included in the definition of deafness, but does adversely affect the educational performance.
